AMERICAN BOARD OF CERTIFIED CHAPLAINS

WE PROVIDE A MUCH-NEEDED SENSE OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCY

Board Certified Chaplains are in great demand! While the field of chaplaincy  service is rapidly               expanding, it remains largely unregulated. This is due to the fact that the U.S. government abides by constitutional and Supreme Court precedents resulting in a separation of religion and state. The government neither sets standards for nor licenses chaplains.

The A.B.C.C. provides national standards: The American Board of Certified Chaplains provides a reliable format for chaplains to demonstrate their professional education, experience, and competence.

Show employers that you're qualified!
Board Certification may be required by some agencies that retain chaplains.
In every case, however, Board Certified Chaplains may make a more-professional presentation when applying for a position. Join today!

We Board Certify Religious Chaplains: Ordained and non-ordained Chaplains who meet the eligibility standards shown at the right may become Board Certified.

We also Board Certifify Civil Chaplains: Qualified chaplains working in the civil sector may also be Board Certified. These include Hospice Chaplains, Hospital Chaplains, Prison Chaplains, Jail Chaplains, Fire Department Chaplains, Civic Club Chaplains, Healthcare Chaplains, Long Term Care Chaplains, Human Service Chaplains, Counseling Chaplains, various chaplain services, etc. Contact your professional chaplains association, the American Board of Certified Chaplains.
